I enjoy messing around with an image...you often end up with a surreal effect that really could work as a basis for a future composition. This winter tree scene is just such a work.
From a water scene in Alabama,comes this "visitation", the lush growth lending well to the effect.
Now, I admit that these are distortions of photographic images I have made and depend on filters in Photoshop and therefore have little merit in some eyes, but they do reflect an abstract and unique view that would otherwise not be seen...something like a synthesizer does in music.
They still need an interesting base shot and a creative application of the power available in the program used. So out of these elements arise conceptions of mystic...otherworldly abstraction with enough familiar that we can still interact with them.
